Thoughts Behind the Jesmonite Starter Kit 💙
I've heard many people say, "I'm interested in Jesmonite, but I don't know where to start."
At first, I myself wondered, "I want to try Jesmonite, but what silicone molds should I use?"
That's why I wanted to create a "kit that makes it easy to get started." This starter kit was born from that idea.
With our shared desire to "spread Jesmonite more widely in Japan" with Jesmonite Japan (C&B Co., Ltd.), who we always rely on,
the planning for the starter kit began.
We shaped everything from the molds to the contents, discussing each detail with the goal of "allowing beginners to enjoy Jesmonite with peace of mind" and "experiencing both 'cuteness' and the 'joy of creating' together."
As Mold shop LALA, the desire to "create a kit that can support those who want to start Jesmonite" is the origin of this project.
The molds included in the starter kit are original molds, each carefully crafted from a prototype by Mold shop LALA. We have thoroughly considered the shape, material, and compatibility with Jesmonite.
We aimed for simple and easy-to-use designs so that even beginners would have less chance of failure and could smile at the "cuteness" of the finished product. We also wanted them to be versatile enough to showcase any technique or color.
The pigments (colorants) included in the set are also our shop's original selection of colors.
We focused on modern, subdued hues, aiming for tones that would "blend in with your room" and "make you want to give them as gifts."
We chose them so that even Jesmonite beginners can enjoy natural nuanced colors by simply mixing them.
What I want to convey through this kit is "the joy of creating with Jesmonite."
More than the beauty of the finished product, I hope you find each step—mixing, pouring, waiting, and demolding—"enjoyable."
Cherish that feeling of "I want to create," and please start with small projects first.
May this starter kit be "the trigger to start Jesmonite" and the first step towards "creating your own unique works."
